Hi all
I bought an item a while back and some of you may recall I had an issue with it.
Well the seller agreed to take it back and refund it upon receipt of a dispute
Now in fairness to the seller, its delivery was organised the same day as the sale and the tracking number sent to me that same day. It came a couple of days later with little hassle.
The box was damaged and a few days later the thing didn't work. The seller then confessed that it wasn't brand new (as described) but that they bought it last year from ebay themselves and thus the warranty was void  They then abandoned me and stopped responding until I opened a dispute at which point I got the "Hey you should have contacted me to work this out!" reply. Anyway they supplied a return address which gave the game away.. the item was ex business stock / use and probably from one of their old contracts :wall: The company website makes it clear that they do not do retail so this was clearly their old equipment that had been passed off as 'new' to make their money back on it rather than take a loss on it being used. The seller even supplied an RMA number.
The seller did refund quickly but I am still miffed that the item was used and sold as new, described with a warranty that was void and then turned out to be sold on the sly.
I have the wording for the feedback worked out already (spent ages on the thesaurus finding the shortest words to tell the longest story lol) but what I'd like to know is what would you leave?
Pos, Neut or Neg?

Pos, Neut or Neg?
If you have the wording what is the issue.
'Great seller sorted out issues' in red would be odd.
'Item not new or as described' in green would be odd.
'Helpful' in grey would be odd.
How on earth can anyone give you advise with something you have prepared?0 -
I would neg for selling as new when it clearly was not.
They lied.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The feedback just describes the events of what happened - everything in the op condensed into 80 characters

It's factual and covers everything to provide the full picture.
What I can't decide is whether that makes the seller good, bad or indifferent.0 -
If they paid return postage, then neutral, with 1* for description and communication.
If they didn't, then neg.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
No they didn't pay return postage. I had to pay that although they did refund the original postage but I'm still down by a tenner.0

In my opinion, had it been as described but just stopped working, a positive would be appropriate.
But the fact that this guy is advertising stuff as new when it isn't, I would say a negative in this case...other buyers need to be aware and I don't tend to check sellers feedback unless they have less than 100%.
And the fact you're down by a tenner as well makes me think negative for sure....had he offered to pay your return postage (which I would if it was my auction SNAD) a neutral would be the way to go.0 -
neutral or a neg for me...cant be saying its new when its not0

Just rang ebay, they say they will give me an £11 credit / voucher to use (god knows how I'm going to use that!) and it will take upto 48 hours to show on my accound :~
I guess I'll just wait for it to show up and see what the terms are. If its something that I can only use with limited use (eg only certain sellers etc) then it's worthless and I might as well go with a negative.0 -

The £11 voucher can be used on anything, and is a good will gesture from Ebay, not the seller, so it shouldn't affect the FB you leave.
As they lied and left you out of pocket, then a neg is in order. They had an oppurtunity to put things right and didn't.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

That would personally make me leave a neg. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
