Hi all,
Would be grateful for advice, have read lots on here re PE but not sure whether to appeal or ignore.
Received PCN stating 6 mins over - £100 charge or £60 discounted :rotfl:
Still got ticket that shows 10 mins left on it!!!!!
On arriving in CP no change and note on machine said go into Tourist Info for ticket - duly did but they don't do tickets so had to go to shop accross road - it was very busy and the ticket was eventually purchased about 15 mins after entering CP.
Thought I'd appeal and enclose copy of ticket showing it still valid. Is this the best way to deal with it or should I ignore!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you in anticipation

If this England or Wales , did they give you a popla verification code so you can appeal to independently to popla ? Did they reject your appeal more than 35 days ago than your dated appeal? - a simple yes or noWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Parkingeye are one of those that do court if you ignore, so an appeal is best.
Don't bother telling them about tourist office etc; Parkingeye don't do mitigating circumstances. Just appeal with a photocopy of your valid ticket.
I wish to invoke your appeal procedure.
I fully paid for parking and you have therefore suffered no loss. I enclose a copy of my parking ticket.
I will not be entering into further correspondence with you. If you reject my appeal I require you to provide a POPLA reference code within 35 days of receiving this appeal.
If they are stupid enough to refuse you and cost themselves £27, come back for a fuller POPLA defence.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -

Well how about amending the first 'appeal' to say that a note on the P&D machine directed you across the road to pay - initally to Tourist Info which was wrong. And the P&D ticket had not even expired - and you have the P&D ticket as evidence.
Say that you will be more than happy to show the P&D ticket at POPLA stage but not in response to a speculative invoice from a private parking company who not only would have known that their own P&D machine wasn't working that day but also know that the BPA Code of Practice allows for a grace period, and an alleged six minutes in a car park with a broken P&D machine and no signs explaining the grace period allowed, simply doesn't cut it in terms of compliance.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Yes but not if you appeal like that, you need a proper challenge! And you can complain at Morrisons of course, get angry about this scam!
Start your own thread please, we have to keep each case separate on a parking forum, for clarity of datges and details and responses and outcomes.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
