I wonder if someone can tell me if I can send a SAR to an Estate Agents and would it include all emails, I'd Verification, signed Sales Particulars, offers made buy Sellers etc.

I need to know if we signed the changes on the property particulars
Also if the Estate Agent doesn't belong to any regulated body would this mean that any problems would have to go through a Lawyer rather than say The Property Ombudsman.

I am led to believe that Estate Agents are a not regulated by anything and do not have to?

  • Thanks for the link, I am confident in what a SAR is for, but I wanted to know if I could send it to the Estate Agents, bearing in mind There are two owners and obviously sales staff.

I also wanted to know where do you complain about the Estate Agent if they are not a member of any of the regulations like The Property Ombudsman ect.

Does this mean you would have to get yourself a solicitor or defend the case yourself as I am of the understanding that if the EstTe Agents are not a member of any regulations, then you cannot use them to defend your case and visa versa
