Fluid application with existing MBNA card

I applied for the Fluid card yesterday - the system told me I would not get the 24 months 0% deal but would be eligible for a 19 month one.
Having then filled in the details for £3800 worth of balance transfers (not to MBNA cards) it came back and said the application had been referred.
I have a Virgin card with a £9900 limit with a balance of £1100 on it, so £8800 of available credit). I am guessing MBNA may have an issue with the already high limit on the Virgin card.
If they want me to reduce the Virgin limit I am happy to do so - but will they ask me, or just refuse the other application?

I know of someone who had a Virgin card, and applied for a Fluid one.
They got referred, phoned up Fluid the next day, and were approved on the phone. No change of limits required.0 -
Just to assist anyone else in the same situation, here is the result.
I spoke to MBNA this morning. They reviewed the application over the phone and approved it subject to me reducing the Virgin card limit. So I am getting an £8000 limit on Fluid and Virgin limit is being reduced by the same amount.
The (very helpful) lady told me that if I had not had the availability to reduce the Virgin card limit, the Fluid card would still probably have been approved, but with only a small limit.0
