Worried about flat I've paid admin fees for

Hi,
Sorry to ask another question but you lot are v. helpful.
Basically we viewed a flat last Saturday and fell in love with it, we knew it'd be snapped up so immediately went to the letting agents to register our interest and pay the admin fees.
The agent said we'd know by the end of the week (I handed in supplementary forms and ID on Monday) but we have heard nothing.
The property is still on Rightmove and also on the agents website...
Please help!

What would you like me to do?

Sorry, didn't mean to sound silly! We want to give them until monday before contacting so it would be a solid week.
I just wondered if what I described is normal? I thought the admin fees were to 'secure it/ take it off the market' but it's still there.
I'm a worrying sort of girl!0 -

Why leave it a week? You should have called them on Tuesday gone, they have your money!0 -

I have to say when renting previously it's taken a couple of weeks to get a forml offer as they have to contact your employer and current landlord as well as any other referees and get a response from all. They also need to give all referees a reasonable timescale in which to respond. They should be able to tell you where they are in that process though so give them a call today if they're open?0

Even if they have done the checks, the LL has to give final approval for your tenancy, so they may be awaiting his/her response. Ring them first thing Monday to ask.0

The admin fees (putting aside the astronomical markup) are to pay for them doing the checks to see if you're a suitable tenant, normally they would only carry that out for a single potential tenant at any one time. If someone else inquires I'd expect them to be told it's let subject to vetting but have their details taken in case you fail the vetting.
Thank you, I understand now. I only thought they would take it down as he described it as 'off the market'. Hopefully everything will go ok and we will Gove them a ring on Monday to see d what' what. Tanks for your replies x0 -

They rang the LL last week (we are 21 & 23) and she apparently delighted. Apologies for the way my other post is formatted, my phone had a bit on an episode!0
