Hi guys, been wanting to go back to Cyprus ever since I last served there in 2007. We are looking to book a last minute holiday to Cyprus in the coming weeks but are a bit concerned about the state of affairs out there. Can some of you guys currently stationed in Cyprus please give me an idea of the current costs out there. Mainly the price of beer and how expensive food is eat at home or eat out. You help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You could also try the unofficial forces boards, like
https://www.arrse.co.uk (army)
https://www.e-goat.co.uk (RAF)
watch out for the forces banter, though!
(I've only passed through Akrotiri , and can't give you up to date info)0 -
Hello, saw your post and although I have no connection to the bases, I do live in Limassol and have friends in episkopi and eat out at least once a week. Food prices are roughly same but very little ready meals and most meals you cook from scratch, salad is way cheaper and eating out is not expensive, sylvanas is still on approach to akrotiri and full meze is about 15 euros, keo/carlsberg big bottle no more than 3euros.
Limassol is a bit dearer, but meal for two in decent restaurant is approx 50 euro including bottle of wine, most restaurant chains are here and eating in villages even cheaper.. Most Cypriots are not going out at moment so all restaurants keen to please... Have a good holiday and just thought I would answer your question as you haven't had much response from the forces personnel.:beer:0 -
I also served in Cyprus before I left the Army in 2008. Would Chase the Ace (or anyone else) please let me know the contact info for any military tailors still operating in Cyprus? There used to be one in Episcopi Garrison. But any one in the SBAs would do.0
