MAT B1 Form question

When you are a disabled stay at home mum so do not work and then get to the time when you get to claim income support because of the pregnancy i think its 11 weeks before the birth of the baby. Does the DWP/Jobcenter need a MAT B1 form? I thought it was only if you worked not a stay at home mum? When i went to claim beginning of March i had my blue pregnancy notes and all paperwork with me and was never asked for it, surley the lady should have taken or asked for it as evidence , as they did with my husbands payslips etc? instead of waiting till now and still stalling and writing asking for it saying we still need your MAT B1 certificate? I am 35 weeks gone now and started the claim on the 8/3/2013

They should have seen it before the claim was processed, ...I think they are still asking for it because you are claiming for your husband and as your condition of entitlement is your pregnancy they do need to see it..
You have in effect eleven weeks of entitlement to claim before the baby is born and fifteen weeks after as a couple. The Mat B1 shows EDOC the date the baby is due most important :)

Can you make an appointment at the jobcenter and fax a copy up or phone them up and they will send you an envelope to post it.

I would get this done as what I think has happened the accuracy section have picked the claim up and realized it hasnt been seen and returned it to the processor who has to get a copy of your Mat B1 before it can be cleared.
I know its not your fault and you dont need the stress but you need to sort it.

    Congratulation on the baby :)

From your midwife, its a form they sign and put their registration number on, this form shows the date of examination and the EDOC, date baby is due,

its a free form and she will issue you one without a problem.....
