Isle of Wight, but I'll check, cheers0 -
Well my CCCS DMP is going through atm, and they've been in contact with my creditors with an offer which I hope they'll accept and have also paid my first month's money to CCCS, but I think my bank might be trying it on.
I'm with LloydTSB where I have a credit card and bank loan, now my understanding is a DMP means all interest and charges are frozen and according to the CCCS figures my debt's aere cleared in 7.9 years but the bank have sent me a loan agreement saying they'll lend me the money to pay off my Cc and loan with them with monthly payments at the DMP offer - but from what I can see this'll then take 10.9 years to clear and involve nearly 5k interest - is this normal or should I tell the bank to get lost with the loan?
Cheers0 -
If you have got this far with CCCS, I would stick with it. The only downside I can think of is that your credit rating will be trashed, because you will be defaulting on your original agreements. But I am sure you won't want/need credit in the future, so would not expect this to be a problem to you.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on. There is a very good DMP supporters thread on this board - why not give it a look?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
