Can I change my user name?

Many of you seem to have really nice user names and mine is boring! When I registered I didn't intend using the forums, but now I do I would like a nicer name. Does anyone know if I can change my name, and if so how I do it. Or do I need to register again? Thanks for your help. :D

Not too sure if this can be done but why don't you try pm'ing one of the mods to see if they can help

You can't do it unless you reregister. I did because mine was too recognisable. ;) But do it now while you're post count is fairly low. icon7.gif

Instead of changing your name you could always add a nice pic for your avatar

I'm sure one of the Admin bods can change it for you... they can on other forums that run on this software.

No harm in asking I recon :) maybe start with one of the Board Guides (Squeaky, Pink-Winged...)

I think you'll need to re-register - so what exotic name do you fancy then?

Thanks all -not sure what to do now! Haven't got a name in mind really, so I might just stick with what I am! Oooh! I don't know what to do!!!! Perhaps I should be Ms Indecisive!

    Hi dm1465,

I'll move your thread over to The Site Feedback Questions and suggestions board where it has more chance of being seen by the admin team.

You should also send an e-mail to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com to ask if they will change your username. Unfortunately they usually only do it if you have used an e-mail address, your real name or something else that could identify you....but it's worth a try.

Another forum I'm on has an option where you click "request username change" and type it in, within a day or two someone on the other end has said okie dokie and presto, you have a new username.

But that's on another forum, this one seems to lack a lot of the functionality (no offence though! :D)
