I melted 4 of kids Easter Eggs this week and added supermarket own brand rice krispies and Cadbury mini egg on top. Kids much keener to eat these and added to their pack up as well - warning - they appeal to adults too - self restraint required :D

By the way one of my recipes said to add some syrup to mixture (makes them more chewy and toffee like). Do not do this! Made some sort of chemical reaction with chocolate and it began to solidify before I could get the krispies in - so just ended up with a mess (tasty tho) nothing adheres to each other. This is being consumed at home, think blobs of chocolate with crispies around - 2nd batch without syrup more successful - so glad I melted eggs 2 at a time and not all at once.

Hope you all have a great day.

How funny, I have literally just made a batch for my daughters school cake sale tomorrow. I must admit I added syrup and some butter and the chocolate looked awful, so I beat the hell out of it quickly added the rice crispies and now have 21 cakes ready to sell. I only added the syrup and butter as the girls said they tasted nicer, but they're only 4 and 5 so to be honest I think I will follow your method and just use chocolate from now on.

Unfortunately no 1p chocs for me so went to lidl for their cheap chocolate bars.

Happy bargain hunting to you all.

    Morning :)

    Hope all Ok with everyone.

Quick query - is anyone still in BHS limbo ....? My order was said to be processing - and to be sent in 2 packages on Sunday.

Hubbies Tshirts sent Monday and arrived yesterday (£6) but no sign of rest of the order (£80 worth) - just the message saying your order is currently being packed at the warehouse (which it has been saying since Monday. I have however not received a cancellation email .........anyone else had this happen (think auu1 was going to get his delivery in 2 parcels). So no idea if second part of order is going to be honoured....

Wondering whether to chase up or just keep stum and wait a bit longer.............

    Hi Morgy9 :)
My BHS order was to be sent in 2 packages also, the first part arrived yesterday and the second part has just this minute been delivered :j
If you check your account on bhs website you will be able to see if there is a tracking number for the second part of your order. I hope this is of some help to you

Hi again everyone. I think I need some drinks and refreshments tonight and then sit down.

Aau1 - I don't know how you do it! Finding those cereal bars that scan at 2p each.

Those of you in Northern Ireland, please skip the rest sorry (and goodnight)!!

Everyone else - M check has been done. And, to summarise, I'll say three words:T:T: "Every penny matters."

Such as (sorry, here's where I add another 2,000) the Savers Rice Pudding, last week 13p (12p the week before that), now up to 16p:eek::eek: (and yes, my jaw dropped when I saw that!)

Also noticing the Atora Shredded Suet, which first went down to 50p (I think), and after that ended, has been slowly creeping up in price ever since. It rose to about 60-odd pence (whilst Sada went down to 50p) and it's now gone up again - now 86p! I think about 36 pennies matter there, together with a further 5p from Avs M when M was 50p.

As regards other items this week, do I have some offers for you?? I do indeed, and some crafty multibuys might be in there (although I bet I'll find out that Sada doesn't sell any equivalents to them!:mad:)
I've decided to start removing all fresh bakery items from my lists, as whoopies are always cheaper. And why bother with any chocolates, as the boxes are 1p in T? (I might leave them there, though, for info.) I may not have been so savvy as my name suggests, and certainly Savvy isn't as savvy as some of you!! But I'll get there - 2p on cereal bars certainly beats my Avs M on SP Cereal Bars!

We're nearing the end of this ('my') thread - I'll bid you good night now, but when I return I will probably do so to a new thread and start the new M list off on there.

Before I go, someone earlier today (I'm probably giving a belated reply, after the event now) but anyway, they asked for an item that was 10p cheaper at T than S. I'll go and have a look and post a short post (now there's a thing...:rotfl:) giving such an item (if I can find one quite soon). My first thought was perhaps the Barratt Dipdab or the single Wham Rocket (the Wham was 46p in S last time I looked) - that was how I made up some of my few pence onto the BM (Sains v T). You could of course mix and match 11 of the individual sweets at 10p or so each (Must mix and match as BM only counts first 10 of any the same item) and buy 11x Sains price vs T at 11 for £1. That'd probably give 10p. I think I can however find something better than this last option.

I'm largely going tonight, so I wish you good night!:):):)

This time was a fluke. I was all set to pay £1 :o

Always worth checking your receipt people ;)
