:j I had a lovely MSE moment today.

As the weather was so lovely DH and I took ourselves off to a local park with boating lakes etc for a nice walk. This really nice woman came up to me and gave me a book for 'World Book Night' (which is tonight).

I am an avid reader and always on the look out for new authors and was so pleased to receive this. The book is 'Little Face' by Sophie Hannah and sounds interesting. I wonder if anyone else knows this author?

I will, of course, be very MSE and leave it in a public place for someone else after I have read it :money:

He's fine thank you, had his 8, 12 and 16 weeks ones so I thought we were all done but then I got a letter to say they do TB jabs in my area so it was an extra one.

I keep scanning a couple of easter things every time I go in but they're still priced as shown, hopefully won't be too long till they're all reduced though.

Just started a 'fat club' today though with Ruxpin and another friend so maybe more 1p chocolate is a bad idea!

It was like something off the Generation Game, 'how many boxes of chocolates can you fit in a small trolly on top of a baby'!

Definitely made me feel much better though when I unloaded the car and filled my living room with boxes of chocs

Yep. I read "The Fantastic Book Of Everybody's Secrets" by her. It's short stories.The first one starts with a couple returning from a night out to find the baby-sitter standing in the driveway looking frightened. She'd been glancing at their holiday photos which had been left out on the table . And she'd spotted something really really odd and quite frightening..........:eek:

This new book should be good. Let us know!:beer:

Am I missing something too? I feel sure people were quoting a £6 ish PP during the 25% off wine promo too but based on having to spend more with mini wines etc as fillers to get the wine promo to kick in.

Does this actually work out cheaper without the wine promo because you are not having to buy (potentially more expensive/unwanted) fillers?
