Strange one for me re BHS............they cancelled the first order (which was the stuff I really wanted grrrrrrrrrr) the original value before discount was only £24.00 but they are sending the second one original value £71.00 makes no sense but I'm not complaining
Ooops now been cancelled despite email telling me it was coming as two deliveries.............oh well, was worth a go.:)0 -
:j I had a lovely MSE moment today.
As the weather was so lovely DH and I took ourselves off to a local park with boating lakes etc for a nice walk. This really nice woman came up to me and gave me a book for 'World Book Night' (which is tonight).
I am an avid reader and always on the look out for new authors and was so pleased to receive this. The book is 'Little Face' by Sophie Hannah and sounds interesting. I wonder if anyone else knows this author?
I will, of course, be very MSE and leave it in a public place for someone else after I have read it :money:0 -
Incredible
- this dude sold £75 million of fake bomb detectors to foreign govts, the fake bomb detectors were $20 novelty golf ball detectors that didn't work in any case.

I think I need to relocate near a better mr T I've found nothing in mine:( all the cheerleader outfits got recalled so not even one of those hiding. I'm keeping my eye out on the Easter chocs though, still a few of those on the shelf.
He's fine thank you, had his 8, 12 and 16 weeks ones so I thought we were all done but then I got a letter to say they do TB jabs in my area so it was an extra one.
I keep scanning a couple of easter things every time I go in but they're still priced as shown, hopefully won't be too long till they're all reduced though.
Just started a 'fat club' today though with Ruxpin and another friend so maybe more 1p chocolate is a bad idea!0 -

If that's your shopping when you're under the weather what happens when you are on top form? Must be like supermarket sweep :rotfl::rotfl:
It was like something off the Generation Game, 'how many boxes of chocolates can you fit in a small trolly on top of a baby'!
Definitely made me feel much better though when I unloaded the car and filled my living room with boxes of chocs0 -

Yep. I read "The Fantastic Book Of Everybody's Secrets" by her. It's short stories. The first one starts with a couple returning from a night out to find the baby-sitter standing in the driveway looking frightened. She'd been glancing at their holiday photos which had been left out on the table . And she'd spotted something really really odd and quite frightening..........

Am I missing something with the Finest meal deal/wine? I thought the 25% off 6 bottles finished yesterday so no need to buy the 4 mini bottles as won't get you any extra off.
As far as I can see it;
1 main
2 melting middle choc desserts
1 montepulciano wine
Plus fillers to take to 10+ items
Cost just over £10 but £6 PP back (against Morries)
Have I got it?
Am I missing something too? I feel sure people were quoting a £6 ish PP during the 25% off wine promo too but based on having to spend more with mini wines etc as fillers to get the wine promo to kick in.
Does this actually work out cheaper without the wine promo because you are not having to buy (potentially more expensive/unwanted) fillers?
Many thanks
