8 different items.
Never rang them before about anything like this, so who knows.
Thanks everyone
I've just had a closer look at your receipt and it doesn't look like you will get anything back at all on an apg.
Bread, milk, Ibuprofen, Paracetemol and red grapes all cheap in A, pasta is cheaper in A than anywhere else and 2 x cooked meats for £3 sounds cheapish too.
If I was you I'd just forget about it, put it down to experience and make sure you buy 9 or 10 different items next time.0 -
Just to thank everyone here for all the posts. I can rarely contribute, but at CS today another customer was saying that the 342 mince had not gone through at 342. (It had stickers on it -- I can't find the offer on the web but I am fairly sure it was value mince.) It might be worth trying if you want the mince. The CS was just going to refund, but I piped up that she should get DTD. He wasn't sure as he said the policy was changing so I just said that my sister had told me all about it and if he didn't give it to her, head office would send it to her on a gift card. She got DTD and was a happy woman!
I was there because I had found a lone chicken which was not half price. It was sitting in an otherwise empty shelf alongside an identical one which was half price, so I decided to buy both. I was 'most surprised' to see that one of my chickens was double the price of the other! CS man wasn't wanting to give me DTD but said he would swop the chicken. I said that wasn't Tesco policy and we trundled along in a companiable manner to the display to view the empty shelf with the clear SEL. So one free chicken. CS man, to be fair, was really nice, though clearly not wanting to give DTD if he could help it. 'But since you do know Tesco policy...' he said!
And when I got to the car, I realised that the discount for my Pyroflam 2L casserole had not been taken off, so back I trotted to CS. This was a very happy overcharge of £14.01! Checkout manager came to see and was very relaxed about it. 'That's DTD', I said and she just agreed without any hassle, much to the relief of the CS man. So I got £28.02 back and, in effect, was paid to take the casserole dish away. Checkout manager did not know of any changes in the DTD policy.
Got 4 tins of free tomatoes too and used a £7 wys £50 till spit. (Was buying wine for a friend.) Downside is that I only got 4 green clubcard points even though I used large Tesco bags and checkout operator forgot to give me Pyrex coupons. Just as well I don't want any more Pyrex.
And it's a brilliant title for the thread!
(Can someone tell me what an HH coupon is please?)0 -

I can see 8 different items there - which I think is enough. The 4 Pasta Sauces and 2 Cooked Meats each count as one different item as they are the same ones. It's been suggested the Chupa Chups is a kiosk item and therefore not being counted. An item has to be on MSM.co.uk to count towards the 8, and I thought there weren't any Chupa Chups products on MSM for Sada at £1.00, only the Chupa Chups Lolly at 20p. However, on seaching now, I now notice this: Chupa Chups Assorted Flavour Mini Lollipops (25g) £1.00 A5da. Is that was was bought?
I notice it is marked as "new" on MSM.co.uk. Perhaps it wasn't on MSM when your shop was done (even if yesterday or earlier today)? V. unlucky though if that's the case and, presumably, had you waited and checked only now, it would be in the items and pick up and compare??? Some items do seem to appear and disappear and go in and out of stock and, as we know, what shows on MSM in one part of the country doesn't on others, and store's own websites change, items briefly disappear (T keeps doing this, as far as I notice, around price changeover times) and then reappear (or don't) - which appears to confuse MSM.co.uk no end. I bought the SP Pineapple tin recently, and despite it being shown, and in stock, both logged in and out, it didn't appear on the APG. As we know, the APG appears to lag behind MSM sometimes.0 -
The wine I paid 19p for after Wombles is is going down rather nicely

Things have been a bit tough recently leading up to my FIL's funeral on Thursday. I loved the old guy to pieces as did everyone else in my family, so we have had a very emotional couple of weeks.
I know time is a great healer and things will get better in time, I just can't wait for that to happen.
I want memories of the old codger to become just fond, happy memories, not ones that tug at my heart strings and bring a tear to my eye every time I think of him.
Sorry about the outburst, I'm beginning to sound like a big girl..
Anyway, don't worry, it won't be too long before I'm back to normal, spending every waking moment thinking of different names to call you.:)
I wonder how many variations you can get on the name dotty??:pWhen The Fun Stops Stop0
