Not quite.
It gives access to a high interest savings account so I am putting in the full £250 a month into this.
Ok it costs £15 a month but it has free travel insurance plus the usual treats etc so in theory we are still on the plus side.
I agree but im biased!. Just alot ave been doing what id said!!The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have0 -

Fair play to you....however Locar will not bow down to the Shepherd's crook!!
I am in one group and could not honestly tell you who "The Leader" is. It is a group where people seem to express their opinion and c'est ca. All deals that I have ever seen were on here and vice versa. There is nothing nasty or underhand about it at all afaik.
No more facebook bashing or I'll come after you with a big stick!!!never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
In terms of FB groups, I'm only a member of one, and in fact it was that group that introduced me to here, HDUK, 10 ways etc. Before that, my only contributions to MSE were on the MS thread and occasionally on tax/accounts advice.
I can't speak for the other groups, but the one I'm part of seem a friendly bunch and try to nip any nastiness in the bud. I've recently been made an admin and got a baptism of fire when two members really seemed to rub each other up the wrong way. I don't want to block anyone or have to delete posts but sometimes it's really hard to know what to do.
Luckily, the two members in question seem to have made up/calmed down and since I've been watching, I've started to recognise a lot of you guys on there too so Hi
I've only just managed to catch up, but it seems like KKM, greenfingers and logie might be in need of a hug, and also the poster whose FIL passed recently. It does seem like there's a run of bad luck and its good to see how supportive this thread is and how positive all the poster remain.
And on that note, it's nice to see SD and FC having some positive news/postings to report.
Hope everyone else is fine and you don't mind me lurking too much but I struggle to know what to say when people are having a bad time. Everything I type just seems patronising or banal. Sorry0 -
I really really wish these so called secret groups on FB lived up to their name - why does it keep overspilling on to here?
I don't belong to any FB groups and would be very happy if what happens on tour stays on tour - what on earth has it all got to do with MSE? A lot of the posts on here about FB are kind of snide and back-bitey and leave an unpleasant taste - think we can all do without that?
I realise it is only one or two who keep raking it up, but isn't it time to stop banging that particular drum?
I will hunt out glitches and post up bargains and deals as often as I find them and personally I choose MSE as the platform to do that because I really rate MSE - but I have absolutely no problem if stuff is posted elsewhere with or without credit, in the same way as I will take up a bargain posted on HUKD or anywhere else without getting in a tizz about where it originated.
Let's keep it simple, grab those bargains and save the pennies0 -

I love giving away the bargains makes people happy but costs me next to nothing

I also remember my gran and grandad had a little village shop where they lived and all the 'ladies products' were wrapped in brown paper. I always used to wonder what was in them. I always got told I wasn't allowed to know until I was married :rotfl::rotfl:
The thing my dad used to send me for, which would seem bizarre to most folks these days, was for one single edged razor blade. I remember they were very thick, almost like a modern day stanley knife blade, and lasted for ages.Awaiting a new sig0 -
