No I havnt as yet only because it stops you on your first couple of shops and the SA has to put it all through anyway. It just draws more attention to you, especially with 12plus 1p items. Lol. X

As you will gather its not my fav store Artha, before I came on here Mr T would get my money every week, that's all stopped thanks to this wonderful thread and people. X

I actually asked someone who was using one in store how it works and they said that the first couple of times you use it they check your items but after that it's plain sailing. It was my first shop using it but I didn't get checked...mind you I only bought some milk to try it out and then went back for the items I'd found using the scanner and went through SS;)

Yes agree Claire 1972 - I have drawn enough attention to myself in Mr t at ingleby:j this thread has saved me sooooo much money - I can't thank everyone enough :

Yes there is one particular SA that seems to do a double take when I go to the clearance section now, you will know who I mean....

Bill was the best SA in Ingleby he loved all my coupons, havnt seen him for ages.

They only scan a few items at random - my SA's don't even look at the screen when they do it :D

I found out recently (this week ;)) that lots of adding then deleting items will trigger a 'random' check

Needless to say I was doing a lot of that;)

  • Watching TV, they seem to have over reacted to one 19 YO terrorist?

Would we lock down London for a similar idiot?

(Although the people that know which Tescos I go to, there was 3 police uniforms there this afternoon.

  • If anyone in NI is near northcott Ts they have loads of the 1p thorntons just to say chocs. They are in the normal sweets aisle on the top shelf under the overstock one, I bought 10 :) this morning while out at work.
Also got a Spider-Man non folding scooter for £3.75 and an Emmi dolls travel system pram for the same.
Mermaid Barbies are £4.99 from £22.
And 2 of each of the dressing up outfits, cheerleader, Peter Pan and a yellow one with a bear on the front and an apron all 4p each.

I'd found nothing until today, the SA was putting the dress up out and I took all but one of them. A little girl was looking at the yellow one and asked her mum could she have it but her mum said no I can't afford it. I told her how much it should go through at but she looked at me as if I was mental and walked away. I bought it and went up to the woman afterwards and gave her it along with the receipt, she couldn't believe it was so cheap, I also told her about the chocs and again showed her the receipt but warned her to put them through self serve as fast as she could and on their own. I walked away with a smile on my face as the little girl was so pleased with her outfit.

    Brill. Nice deed:)

I love giving away the bargains makes people happy but costs me next to nothing

Where the toys priced at that?
