Hi there again - and good morning, and good morning Westie and good morning everyone else:) - I've been here but operating/lurking:eek: in the background tonight as doing the M lists - so I'll catch up with you all later. Now just got 3 pages (which isn't that bad) left to go through and sift from, another time, so should be finished by Friday night. Mainly cleaning products and health and beauty to go (very selective - no expensive cosmetics!). The Surf 25s (mentioned here earlier in the week) are half-way onto the list but, then again, I might leave them out - £2.70 for 25 washes isn't the best price I've seen but it's not that far off - although I made an issue:eek: of getting the price for the Savers Bio Powder this week (which may or may not be in the size stocked in the equivalent in A) just so it could be seen - now have to be later! - how it compared.

Good night all and see you... well, tonight technically (Friday night).:D

While in sainsbobs today mum bought some ham from deli counter. Was the end of the ham and after cutting off a couple of slices sa put rest in bag, weighed it and put in bag and threw in bin. Apparently there was too much fat on it and if they would not eat it themselves they have to bin it. Mum asked why they didn't either reduce it or cur the fat off and sell just the ham on the slices and they said they were not allowed to. Shocking waste of 1/4 kilo or so of ham.
On plus ise she was wiping out some of the little black rectangular pots they display things like olives in. Mum asked if they were recycled and lady said no we bin them. Upshot is got 20 nice pots to freeze stuff in. While at checkout she came over with another 20! Be useful as used to use the plastic trays from sad git meals but they tend to melt and distort while washing up.

just reminded me of my mum.....years ago when the first real supermarkets began to pop up. My mum used to go to the deli counter and ask if they had any 'pâte dishes' they used to give them away! really nice big glazed dishes that had held pâte and were of no use anymore.......guess my mum was a glitcher of sorts :D

[Just doing some workings out RE: Wine]
So with the 2 for £10 wine deal

Hardy's Crest Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 75Cl for example is £10.99 a bottle
    £10.99 x 6 = £65.94
    £10.99 x 3 = £32.97
    3 x £0.99 = £2.97
    25% of £65.94 = £16.49
    £65.94 - £32.97 - £16.49 - £2.97 = £13.52 for 6 bottles (in theory)

So am I right in saying the £10.99 (on offer at 2 for £10) + 25% off (hopefully original price) is the best ones to try....

    If all works as previously

Buying 6 on 2f£10 (at 10.99) works out at £2.25pb (supposedly better wine, but the wine isn't worth the £10.99 in the first place)
Buying 6 on 3f£12 (at 6.79) works out at £2.30pb

Perhaps the 25% is an online only deal, then we're all ******* anyway :D

Any [STRIKE]keen[/STRIKE] mad people at Mr t's now hunting choccies ?
