  • Just come from T and found 1 pair of shoes scanned at 4p on self scan, I paid had my receipt when girl appeared to take security tag off, she took them away and came back without them telling me to go to customer service, they then told me they weren't supposed to be on sale and I can't have them. Said I've got a receipt so they're mine and she took my receipt off me refused to remove the tags and chucked the 4p on the counter. I was late for a hospital appointment so had to leave otherwise I would have argued.

That HAS to be worth at least an email to HO, you had bought the shoes, regardless of how much you had paid, they were yours.

Got my first significant DTD on Tosco butchers gammon. But I had a long fight for it. Gammons not stickered so going through at full price. I queried this with trout on CS who looked at my receipt, looked at the price on the gammon and said it was correct. I then pointed out it was marked as half price on shelf and I expected it to come off at the checkout. So she disappeared for 5 minutes and returned holding another gammon with a half price sticker on it and said she could swap it but mine was 'old stock' or in the wrong place or something like that. I said I wasn't happy with that as they were clearly marked half price and none of them had half price stickers on so she had found hers somewhere else. Anyway I took her to the aisle and showed her. Probably about 20 there all without stickers. Again she told me they were old stock and not the reduced ones . She said so you want it for 'half price'. To which I stated no, DTD. "But you haven't been overcharged " All in all made to feel a bit of a criminal in the middle of Toscos so asked to see a manager at which point he immediately said I had have it. So £21 joint of gammon for me.... yum yum.

Thank you for this, just ordered myself some stuff I needed and got the free delivery code you posted too. :T
Now do I go and order some tops or just leave it, I get tax credits tomorrow , it's so tempting.

I struggle so much with shoes, terrible wide feet and high instep but Evans shoes in the xwide are fab so when there is an offer I have to get some. Missed out on their boots in my size for winter and struggled terribly without appropriate boots for work so have ordered an enclosed pair of shoes in case I can't get boots again and a pair of sandals to enjoy.;)

    Good afternoon :)

Please don't shoot me down. I am fairly new to forums and don't have FB so not much experience, I am not trying to stir anything up or speak out of turn but I don't understand some of your message RN. Please can you explain why it is acceptable if someone has been banned?:

    Hi

I didn't say it was acceptable - objectively it is clearly against MSE rules :) I said that to me it is subjective - I am far more concerned about someone's intent today/now and about what they are actually posting/contributing than where they have come from. FK's post is, I think saying the same thing. These spats come up every so often and there will be a message at some point saying report all AEs - use of an AE is against the rules, but on a personal level I can see why folk adopt them and it isn't always to cause harm.

This is a personal opinion and of course dos not reflect MSE or speak for anyone else :)

Well done :T There should be a badge that reads 'I train Tesco CS in my spare time' for us Elite to wear. I love it when the manager makes them follow company policy - hopefully she will remember it in future.
  • I think people are only bothered about AE's who create them to intimidate or cause trouble. I'm very much a live and let live kinda person and have no objection to people having AE's to get around bans etc provided their input is constructive or helpful, or at the very least is in keeping with the ethose of the board.

I'm not everyones cup of tea I know, but I do wish people who had an axe to grind with me just sent me an abusive PM or something from their own username and got it off their chest. I'd respect them far more for doing that than inventing a childish AE to have a snide swipe.

EDIT.....I've cleared down my inbox in readiness for the deluge of PM's ;)

Most of us on here love you FK, but the temptation is extreme ...........

Don't worry,, wouldn't be abusive to you, sure you could give worse than you would get ...:D
