DHCP server

A while ago I disabled the DHCP server on my router and now I want to turn it on again but it doesn't seem to be working.
These are the options I can change

Start IP address:
End IP address:
Lease duration:
DNS Domain:
Primary DNS server address:
Secondary DNS server address:

They are all filled out except for DNS domain, and in the DNS server addresses 192.168.1.1 is in both - should I change this to my actual DNS addresses?

Can you factory reset the router? Looks like you're doing everything right.

It says DHCP already enabled so I think so. I had problems with DHCP before with my xbox but since I hardly use it any more I want to go back to DHCP just makes it easier when people come round.

Assuming your router IP is 192.168.1.1, something like this should work

    Start IP address: 192.168.1.20
    End IP address: 192.168.1.255
Lease duration: (doesn't really matter on a home network, set it to a couple of days)
    DNS Domain: hemophobic.local
Primary DNS server address: (see your ISP's help page)
Secondary DNS server address: (see your ISP's help page)

You could then give your XBox an address like 192.168.1.2 and set up port forwarding if necessary.

It's common for the address to be 192.168.0.x rather than 1.x

The DNS of your clients should be the internal address of your modem/router.

Assuming the router supports DNS forwarding :)

Edit: If it does, I'd set the primary to the router IP address and the secondary to one of your ISP ones. This way if (when) the DNS forwarder in the router decides to randomly stop working, you'll still have a way to do DNS.
