B&Q Haven't a clue!!!

Having given up with Homebase we tried to get two mirror sliding doors with white surround and a long track at B&Q.
They do a value pack of doors £69.98, Great we thought BUT then realised that the value pack of track is not compatible. A short track comes with the doors but we needed a longer track!
None of the staff could help and enen insisted they were compatible until I insisted they show how!
So back home to try to order, impossible! Plus now find these doors are not available for home delivery! Why? Other doors are and my car isn't beg enough to transport them.

Or any other big DIY store?
Perhaps there is an independent supplier near you?I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
I had a similar issues with B&Q, Homebase etc a few years ago when attempting to get a replacement shower cubicle door.
Ours was wider than the standard width and all that the chain stores could recommend was to use thick packing around the edges. I was not impressed with this advice and, to add insult, the doors all seemed to be in a stratospheric price range. I have memory of one door being in the £900 range and this was just an inch or two too narrow.
Oddly, it was a B&Q staff member who recommended an independent bath and shower specialist that was a couple of miles away. I think that this in some way redeems B&Q as the independedent specialist had a HUGE range of replacement doors, many of them in stock.
In addition, theirs were a fraction of the chain prices.
So, result...I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
Just to update it seems crazy that no-one can supply at a reasonable price two mirror doors with white edges and a long track!
Have tried several more suppliers.
Ended up with the B&Q doors and value pack rail on the bottom and a jointed pair of shorter rails for the top.
Crazy thing is the doors are supplied by Stanley but even they admit they cannot supply a longer top rail! They will however sell me very expensive doors and rails!0
