Social Housing

It's often said that there is a lack of social housing.

Does anyone know what areas in England have no social housing within a 10 mile radius?

I can't answer your question but I think people are often referring to a lack of *available* social housing -- i.e. because of secure tenancies, tenants do not leave social housing and thus upcoming generations are struggling to gin social tenancies.

Why? Are you a Daily Mail reader and believe that all social housing is occupied by people that are afraid of work who spend all day smoking pot and getting more tattoos done, thus affecting the price of your house?
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

I was going to say Dartmoor, but then I thought about what's at Princetown. :o

    Someone probably does.

    Why are you asking?

    Just out of interest.

I'm not sure that your question is the right one to ask... When people talk about a 'lack' of social housing, they mean a shortage, not an absence. In my own LA/council area, for instance, social housing exists - and probably within 10 miles of everyone - but there are 18,000 people on the waiting list for it. :(
