Listing removed that I was bidding on - why?

Was bidding on something that is hard to get hold of(an item of clothing that was sold out in store and online).
Got the following message from ebay today:
"Thank you for your interest in this listing:
181119897659 - BNWT NEXT GIRLS PINK ZEBRA STRIPE KNITTED CARDIGAN/JACKET FACE HOOD 6-9 months
Unfortunately we removed this listing and the item is no longer available. We do our best to make sure listings that may not comply with our policies don't get listed, but with millions of items listed everyday occasionally one may appear on our site. We understand this is disappointing.
If the seller is able to fix the problem and relist the item, we hope you'll consider buying it. We also have other great deals on eBay. Visit https://www.ebay.co.uk to continue your shopping today.
"
I don't understand why as there were no policies breached in the listing?
Really annoyed as really wanted the item!

It could have been something you hadn't spotted, even something like fee avoidance or stock photos. Yes they were using a stock photo from the Next website(even though item is no longer on there).
Is that against ebay policies? My daughters are my world0 -
I had a message from Ebay telling me they had removed a listing of mine because I had stated that the dress was similar in design to another make. I had to remove that and relist it.0

If Next complained then eBay would remove listing and put a policy warning strike on the seller account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. They've started clamping down on "Similar To" descriptions as people were using them to feature in search results for the similar item i.e Similar to Harrods (except it's from TK Maxx)0 -
Ebay do amaze me. Some obviously dodgy listings dont get removed yet some of their better sellers get listings removed for silly reasons.
One motor seller got a listing pulled by ebay. It was for a MG ZT which is a Rover 75 with MG badges. Yet they pulled it because he mentioned Rover 75 in the listing. Stupid.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
