Hi there,
I'm new to this site so apologies if it's been covered already. Has anyone had any luck with selling free samples on eBay?
Cheers

I suppose it would depend on what the sample was and whether it was readily available or easy for people to get hold of...
What sort of thing did you have in mind selling...once you say what it is then people might be able to tell you if its something they would buy
Lots of companies happily give free samples out and sometimes it states on them "not for resale"...however this doesnt prevent some people offering them for sale or indeed some people from purchasing them
There are also some companies who send products to people to test to give feed back on and try with friends etc...again sadly some people abuse the system and sell them for profit on ebay without testing them....In my mind its a question of your own feelings and integrity whether you decide to sell something thats been given to you free.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Just been on a few sites offering small samples of cosmetics etc for free. wouldn't plan on abusing the system at all if it required testing but when you see some of the items on sale on eBay like magazine inserts etc it seems a good way to make a little cash. More of a hobby than a way to retire early!0

I was going to say have seen clinique samples on sale - I am a fan of clinique and they do promotions every now and then - never sold them myself though0

It depends what they are and how you've come by them. Also whether the original owner doesn't block the selling of them.
Some items with 'not for resale' on can be resold others can not.
For example there are loads of newspaper/magazine DVDs/CDs on Ebay sold without a problem. I'd assume some cosmetic manufacturers would be more strict..0 -

Well you won't make your fortune but you might make a few pence from it!0 -
Yup, I've done it. I sold some make-up samples from a major three letter brand. They did say not for resale on them, but they sold for a good price. I only sold them because I couldn't use them myself as I have allergies to the ingredients. Surely that's better than chucking perfectly good items that could be used.
I've also sold freebie leaflets/ coupons on ebay. Making £5 from a free piece of paper I can't use is pretty good IMHO!Minimalist

There are restrictions. Samples not for resale are not allowed, nor are testers, have a look here for more details.
