Can I fight this private parking ticket?

No, if it is from OPC and not debt collectors, it could be an LBCC. Read zzzLazyDaisy's thread about LBCCS to compare. If so absolutely DO NOT ignore.
It is linked to in Crabman's sticky.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -
Yup - whilst I have a strong feeling OPC are just chancing their arm, you should take this threat moderately seriously and read the LBCC thread so you can tell the difference between a LBCC and a toothless ebt collector letter.

So I gather you didn't use popla then? This lot are not going to court with you parked in your own parking bay, you are for all intents and purposes the landowner/leaseholder entitled to park there without these idiots bothering you. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Thanks for your replies.
Yes, I did appeal to POPLA at the time, but they rejected it.
The letter I have received doesn't seem to fulfil the rules of an official LLBC, so hopefully it is just more threats.
LasyDaisy's advice suggests contacting the landowner or Managing Director as they may intervene and have the fine waived, which I have now done (well, my email is addressed to the Managing Director of the property management company - not 100% sure this is the correct person).
Failing that, I will follow the further advice on Lazydaisy's thread (which I just can't get my head round at the moment!).0 -
Search the forum for 'Observices' or 'OPC' (using the heading next to 'forum tools' on the right of the blue new thread button above the sticky threads on page one). We've had two recent threads about them & what to do. Here's one:

It seems the lardy ex-clampers are scraping the barrel with old cases hoping some idiots pay. Not sure I would describe some illiterate crayonings from this bunch as a 'LBC'!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
