I'm on Vista and I've been having a horrid couple of days! But I've uninstalled this update now and so far so good. Hope it lasts. I'm so technophobic....

Mine is still waitibg to be installed, but no longer ha an tick on it,which means no auto install.

I put the computer on this morning and windows failed to load again. I've now done a system restore (in safe mode because it won't do it otherwise) back to last Monday. Should I redo the updates or wait a few days and see what happens? Of course, the problem may not be related to this update at all. I wish I knew what I was doing!

Btw, that update is not showing in the list of updates waiting today.

Thanks dogmary, that probably explains why my wife's lappy has had some boot failures in the past couple of days and my own workstation has exhibited some odd behaviour. Update duly removed now so fingers crossed.

Thank you so much. I thought my laptop was on the way out. I've just uninstalled and its fine now! You've probably saved me a few hundred pounds (now that really is moneysaving!).
