1.2 Corsa - fuel gauge not working

I have a 1.2 2002 Corsa just come to work and noticed the fuel gauge is on zero and the low fuel light is not illuminated either. I know ther eis petrol in the tank as i put in 16 quid yesterday and the marker was about 1/4 full. so since yesterday its stopped working. I have been low on fuel before and the low fuel warning light came on however even though the marker is on empty the light is not on either.

Any ideas please before I book into a garage.

Look in the handbook - check the relevant fuse ...

if not that the sender from the tank is under the rear seat -

check and make sure the wire is attached properly -

if not that - find a good auto electrician to check it -

worse way it's the sender from the tank ...
