Do I have to appeal or can I ask my G.P. just to fill it in,if of course she agrees to.?

I've found the appeal form and printed it off and my hubby has asked for my GP to ring me so fingers crossed.

Hi macma. I am in the same position as you. I have agoraphobia and social phobia. I have been granted a home assessment for transfer from IB to ESA which is tomorrow afternnon. My GP has already told me to expect to not pass and once I have received the decision to call her straight away. She told me not to worry, yeh right! that she will not agree to signing me fit for work and that she will help with the next stage of my claim.
I should imagine your GP has been through this before and will be able to give you the help you need to appeal.
    There is a great website
http://benefitsandwork.co.uk/ which has help and advice on going through the appeals process.
Keep in touch with how you get on as I will be going through it with you myself. Good luck.

I don't have any advice to offer, but wanted you to know I am going through something very similar myself. Good luck with your appeal!

Hey macma. I don't really have any advice for you, unfortunately but I do suffer from anxiety and social anxiety. I have Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder (amongst many other things!) I used to have quite bad Agoraphobia but I've got to the point now where I can go out, but only if my husband is with me.
I just want you to know that there is hope and you're doing fantastically by managing to get out to your allotment (sorry if that sounds condescending!)

If you want to talk about anything, my PM box is always open.
