Rent Arrears

Hi, ive struggled as a single working mum and struggled for 15 years with rent due to childcare costs. My partner has been living with me for the last few years, will this affect him getting a deposit for a house (renting) My concerns are failing the credit formality. He has debt for store cards etc but nothing major, he's self employed tho works for a company and his tax and NIC's are all up to date,
I have every intention of clearing my rent arrears in the next few weeks but worried this will hinder my partner getting a place then myself and daughter move in with him and have a start a fresh.
I've not used forums before so sorry if im on the wrong link etc. Thank you in advance

If your finances are linked, your credit record will affect his.
If they are not linked, they won't.
Do you have a joint bank account? Joint names on credit agreements? Joint names on utility bills? Is his name jointly on your current tenancy agreement? etc

You both should send off for a copy of your credit reports.
