You could try www.notapushymum.com, athough I think it's more directed at 'professional' children (ie children who work as actors etc) but there's some useful tips and a forum. You could also look at Stagecoach, although I think, like most places, there's a minimum age of 4 (edit: just looked and they now do a mini-stages for children from 6 months to four, and then the 'normal' stagecoach sessions from 4 up)
You could also try looking locally - maybe there's a toddlers music or dance group that you could get involved with. The yellow pages might be a good stop0 -
thanks. would you know where to get info on castings?
where is the best place to get casting information for children? i know that companies like stagecoach seem to do a little bit but otherwise what are the options?Gingernutmeg wrote: »You could try www.notapushymum.com, athough I think it's more directed at 'professional' children (ie children who work as actors etc) but there's some useful tips and a forum. I think there's a job search function on the notapushymum site, but beyond that I'm not really sure. I *think* that most children get jobs through being registered with an agency - again, there's lots of info on the good and the bad on the notapushymum site. You could try phoning some, or you could even try phoning some of the big stage schools - most of those seem to have agencies attached, although again I'm not sure whether it's just for their pupils. They might be able to recommend somewhere for you though.0

if you buy the Stage newspaper theres the occasional vacancy in there for children but they usually want them to be already experienced. maybe you could see if there are any theatre clubs or amateur dramatic societies in the area. You could also try modelling agencies for babies and children.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

My son has just started stagecoach and enjoys it
He is 5 though so in the older group.
I like the fact its small groups, max 15 and 3 teachers and a principal
Its not cheap but its well run
You have to make sure the child *wants* to do it thoughAt 3 I wouldnt go too formal
Aswell as stagecoach, there may be others advertised on your local https://www.netmums.com or post and ask a Q on the noticeboard
