finding car reg dvla

is it possible to find car reg details of my parents cars from the 1960s by giving car make , and my parents name address details?
which dept of dvla do i contact and how much would it cost? , also will dvla provide ownership details of cars not on the road anymore?(as i know there is suspicion regarding currently registered cars) as i have an intrest in motoring provenance

    you cant get access to any details that include the name and address due to data protection.

    Can't you ask your parents?
    As for old cars = all they will tell you is the make, colour, fuel, transmition, how many owners and date of manufactor - to get hat, you need to contact DVLA swansea.
    Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.
