I have a cheque payable to my 6mth old daughter as a gift from her uncle.
Where is the best place to put it?????
I have seen the different childrens saving accounts but most ask for monthly payments. I just want to open an account with a one off payment.

We put our Daughter's money into the Northern Rock Little Rock account (now with Virgin). The rate was decent, about 3%, though down to 2% now. So I'm interested to find out other people's responses to see what is best.0

£5? £5000? To be held in bare trust until she is 18? To go into an account to which she can have access from the age of 7?
Are you considering a JISA? etc etc0
