Well that solves that problem...
Just applied online to Nationwide flexdirect and they rejected me

Looks like its my original plan.
Keeping money in the regular saver at 4% (before tax) then anything additional gets moved to ISA 2.5% and anything extra is earning next to no interest.
Is 4% (before tax) more than an isa 2.5%, for a basic tax payer?Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140 -
What's the savings interest tax rate (as a percentage)?RoxRoxBling wrote: »Is 4% (before tax) more than an isa 2.5%, for a basic tax payer?0 -
Think its 3.2% net
But I'm only limited to saving 250/month, where on the isa I can save up to 480/monthSave in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140 -
Re the Nationwide. That's worth up to £125 a year if your balance is £2,500 in credit.
With the Halifax current acc you get £100 for joining plus £5 a month = £160 a year.0 -

I know. Nationwide have rejected me, and I applied for the Halifax one a while ago and they rejected me.:(
Think its something to do with my credit rating (wouldn't even go there)
