How much cost would you expect in the gas bill for this consumption?

Hi everyone.
I'm new to the forum so excuse me if the question is a bit stupid.

I've been living in a house where I would pay 60 pounds a month for the gas bill but I had agreed with my landlord that we would make numbers when I left. The thing is that I didn't really know where the meter was so I could not check the original values so I haven't been able to follow my consumption over the past months.
To the point:
My average gas usage has been of 6 hours per day. If it were any of you who had this usage, how much would you expect to pay per month? I know it dependes a lot on the boiler and stuff but I just want to make sure my landlord doesn't try to scam me.
Thanks in advance.

Is this house a house that you are renting on your own or with your partner or are you sharing this house and therefore the bills with another unrelated person/household?

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Then you should be paying the supplier yourself. The landlord is not responsible for your bills at all. If you fail to pay then the supplier can only come after you and not the landlord for payment.

Have you now got a meter reading?

Anyway, in answer to your question a 15kW boiler running for 6 hours a day might consume around 80kWh per day including hot water...multiply that by the number of cold days that you had the heating and hot water on for and you'll have a rough estimate. You'll need to add a bit for gas heated hot water and gas cooking on the warm days when the central heating is not being used. This might only be about 10kWh per day. It's a very rough estimate...you will use much more on very cold days and less on the cool days....but it averages out at about 16,500kWh per year.

How big was this house you were renting?

Why didn't you ensure the details were agreed and recorded on your ingoing inventory/statement of condition?

The meter would have been located next to the isolation valve. What would you have done in the event of an emergency?

Thanks for your reply. I was being sublet a house and I didn't know it until I had spent there several months. Everything had to be in my landlord's name.
I've checked the costs on the Internet and that would make a rough of 45 pounds per month.
I was getting scared I might had to pay 300 pounds or something like that.

    Probably run?
Nah, I guessed it would be there but there's hardly any place to see and access it because the washing machine is in the middle.
It was my first time living in UK and I didn't know many things I know now. Fortunately, i am moving houses soon so I'll be checking things properly now.
