Can i transfer into a new ISA.

Hi all
I currently have a LTSB instant cash ISA. I deposited £250 into it on 8th April.Can i still transfer into a new ISA this year as the interest rate is very low,or am i stuck with it because i have deposited in the new tax year.Hope this makes sense.Many Thanks

Yes you can transfer this ISA to a new provider , providing the new provider excepts transfers in.0

Hi.No you are not stuck with it. You are only allowed to subscribe to one cash isa per tax year, but you can move it to any other provider that accepts transfers in. Just apply to open an Isa with another provider,but don't put any money in it.Then get your new Isa providers transfer form and let them do the transfer. When the transfer is complete, this is your new home for the this Isa. You can then add to it when you want to. You cannot close your Isa account and open a new one yourself or you will lose it.
