Why wouldn't you accept sterling since it's your currency?
Is English sterling better than Scottish or Irish Sterling?
Poke off and come back with Sterling? but NI is sterling and you advise to reject it????
Makes no sense.
Not a bad reply - pity it took you nearly 3 years to come up with it.

Hi,
I was selling my car on Ebay a while back...for all of £750.00. A guy from Ireland wanted it, the money went thru paypal. However, I had a friend give it a good go over..and...erm...it wasnt worth that much. So, we arranged a paypal refund and cash on delivery...no worries.
I also spotted a car being sold by a dealers, I phoned them up and they had someone coming to buy it in two days time. I asked him, if he could ring me if the deal never went thru. To which he informed me that the buyers are flying over from Ireland and they will definately be buying the car...he informed me that it's very common.
They have dedicated information sites etc autoquake.com/ireland
It comes down to one thing....we have cheaper cars. Oh and buy the way, the don't usually come over for one sometimes they will pick a transporter full up.
