Fixed Tariff Switch from EoN to EDF
Options
Hi Everyone,
I have been with Eon for about 3 years now, and am currently on their fixed price Apr14 tariff, which I have been on for over a year now.
When I saw the EDF Feb 15 fix, and its pricing regime, I ran several of the price comparison site models (using my actual kWHr usage for last 12 months - available from my online account with Eon) to see how it compares. The answer?...very favorably, much to my surprise - a price rise of £66 per year in total...ie, the price is very close to my current deal and gives me another 10 months of fix thru to 28 feb 15. Eon's "re-fixes" are much more expensive unfortunately....a shame, as they have been a good company imho.
I have since switched - as the only way energy prices are going is up; my Eon tariff has a £10 exit fee, but I have done it through MSEs Club, which delivers a £40 cashback.
Bottom Line? Worth investigation depending on your current deal and circumstances.
best wishes - Stuart:)
