24+ advanced learning loan for pharmacy apprenticeship

I'm considering taking up a trainee post as a pre-registration pharmacy technician. Inbolved and NVQ Level 3 and a city and guilds. However I would have to self fund as I am over 24, the option is to take out one of these new fangled 24+ advanced learning loans. The info leaflet says you can have up to 5 of these loans though they won't fund the same level of funding twice.
Jowever I have completed a foundation degree in the past (i didn't get a loan for this as my work funded it). Would this be counted or do they specifically mean courses funded by this loan.
Anyone in the know?
Ps sorry for any typos, I'm on an iphone holding a sleeping 3 month old!

You can't normally get funding for a qualification you already have at the same, or a higher , level regardless of how it was funded.0 -
They mean courses funded by the loan. Any previous qualifications you have not funded by the loan won't affect your eligibility under the scheme.Impet_Limpet wrote: »Jowever I have completed a foundation degree in the past (i didn't get a loan for this as my work funded it). See here:
"Will I be able to get a loan if I’ve already achieved a similar qualification (i.e. I already have A Levels)?
Yes. Previous qualifications you’ve achieved won’t affect your ability to apply for your first loan. However, once you’ve received a loan to undertake a course you won’t be able to take out another loan to do the same type of course at the same level. You’ll be able to take out further loans to complete different types or levels of eligible courses. There’s no requirement to progress through qualification levels."0
