Nectar Double up at Sainsburys

Sainsburys have an offer on where you can use up to £25 worth of Nectar points for a coupon worth up to £50 off goods in selected departments.
I was looking at the TV's and decided which one I wanted. Went to the desk and told the gentleman I would like a double up coupon and then wanted to buy a TV. He took my Nectar card and issued the coupon first and then asked which TV I would like. The one I picked was out of stock, so then I picked another one which was out of stock, and the same with a third. I asked if they had any 32" TV's in stock and he checked through them all and said no. I then asked if I could have a refund on the voucher and he said no as they were not refundable.
While all this was going on, another couple had a similar issue trying to buy a camera and ended up taking a display model.
Moral of the story: if you are intending on buying anything during this promotion, check the item you want to buy is in stock before asking for the double up coupon.

Here I go again on my own....
