OC1 form for freeholder

Hi (again...)

Myself and the upstairs property are in the process of tracking the absentee freeholder.

When I complete the OC1 form - do I:

(a) just complete one OC1 form for the freeholder of the 2 maisonettes or
(b) complete an OC1 form for my property and an OC1 form for the upstairs flat?

Thanks again for any help!

If the freehold covers both maisonettes (which seems most likely) then one form OC1 requesting the freehold title would be correct

NB - If you completed an OC1 for each maisonette and requested the freehold for each the odds are you would get the same copy twice

Have you tried our online services though to identify the properties using your postal address and seeing if the freehold information is available?

If the freehold information is available then it would cost just £3 to view the register online (£6 using form OC1).

Have a read about the service first but if you are unsure about how to proceed or how to complete the form (if used) then Contact Us for support

Hi - I requested copies of my papers and I did not get the freehold info. I now need to complete the OC1 form as I have the freehold title number

It sounds as if you applied by post and got the copies for the maisonette leasehold.

If you have the freehold title number now then you can try the online service - if the information is available you can then register and view it

If it states 'no information available' then the OC1 route and using the title number would be the next step
