Sorry, it's just you said you were 'thinking' of going....I didn't think your chances of breaking into the fortress were that good ;)

I don't think Novi Sad has an airport (except maybe a military one).

Your most direct route would be to fly to Belgrade. It's about 75 km from Belgrade to Novi Sad, and you could do this by car, train or bus. More info here.

BA flies from Heathrow to Belgrade, and Jat does the same route. Both start at around £250-£300 and up for those dates.

Or you could fly to Budapest and catch a bus...that would take another 6-7 hours.

Or look here to hitch a lift...

(really wouldn't recommend driving the through Slovenia option....)

BA and JAT are very expensive for your dates, chepest BA offer is 10th-16 July which is £349.

The only other way to do it is to go indirect. Lufthansa offer it via Munch, or Alitalia via Milan. For your dates Lufthansa came out at £205, and Alitalia £208.40, both from Heathrow. Opodo had a fare from London City with Lufthansa for £191.
