Npower pre payment meter

Have received a final bill from Npower who are saying that I owe them £53.00. Not bad you may think but that is on a pre payment meter!!!!!! and as I understand it I can only use the electric that I prepay for
They are claiming that beceause I went into emergency credit the standing order charge dosent come off and that is why I have the bill.
Now, the standing order charge is 97p per week which means that I should have been in EC for 54.6 weeks but as the last bill was correct it dosen't make sense I am currently waiting for them to call me back regarding this but where do I stand. Has anyone else had this problem.

It could also be due to delays between their prices being increased and your meter being updated.0

npower are the most expensive supplier out there for pre pay ask them to get those pre pay meters out or switch to a cheaper pre pay supplier0

hi
could be a build up of standing charge if you haven't charged your key regularly
or
they could have estimated reads for your account in the system, so you should give them a call asap with an up to date read from your meter.

Just to update on this, I have now been told that my account is upto date and that I do not owe anything and they mey infact owe me!
The reason that I owed them was because some payments hadn't been allocated to my account!!!!!!!!
However I do get the feeling that nothing would have been done about it if I hadnt kept phoningWins
