Am I covered despite being no longer a customer?

in Credit cards
Hi.
In 2011, for my dads 60th I purchased two balloon ride tickets and paid for them on my Tesco Credit Card. Since then, I have booked flights on 4 or 5 occasions only for them to be cancelled due to the weather. Fair enough.
We are due to fly this coming monday, (15th April), and this morning I found out the company which is called Go Ballooning, went bust last week.
On their website, it says to contact the CC company to get any money back, which I will. However, I no longer use my Tesco Credit Card and have closed my account. My question is, will I still be protected despite this, and can I claim some or all my money back?

God, you lot are hard work!
Opinions or experience would count as back up to me.
It says on the left of my page on this forum to be kind to newbies and offer help if possible, yet two members of this forum have dismissed my question with smartass comments. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO ANSWER THE QUESTION, JUST IGNORE IT.
Thank you, rant over.0 -

The answer is yes. As long as purchase is over £100 you'll still be covered.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
