Hi
Not sure if anyone will know the answer to this but thought it might be worth a try as I cant seem to find it any where ...
I recently shut my ebay shop as It was costing me too much in fees, Am I entitled to the free 100 listings now again or will I have to open a new account ?
Thanks

If you are registered as a business then no, there are no free listings. If you are just a private seller then yes you can have free listings, with or without a shop.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Free listing weekends or promotions will either be applicable to personal accounts or business accounts. It's seperate to the free listings some types of shops get.
e.g. the free listing for businesses 15th April 2013, 00:00:01until 19th April 2013, 23:59:59 does not depend on the shop.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Do you not have to be a business seller to have a shop ?

No, not necessarily although I always think it odd for a private seller to have one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you for your quick answer , I have just been looking on my account, I honestly thought that when I set up my shop I was told by customer services I had to register as a business seller.
I am still registered as a business seller (have just got a message with free listings!)
Can I de-register and go back to a private seller ?0 -
It is almost impossible to change from a business to a private seller so you will almost certainly have to open a second account.Thank you for your quick answer , I have just been looking on my account, I honestly thought that when I set up my shop I was told by customer services I had to register as a business seller.

Just make sure you don't sell anything other than your own private items on it, anything bought to sell or made to sell means it would have to stay on your business account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
