Plants for very hot conservatory.

Hi, my partner would like to nice green large plants for his conservatory but they must be able to withstand very hot conditions as it is stifling in there in summer.

Has anyone any suggestions about what could be suitable?

I've got a hot conservatory and I have a ficus of some variety and an umberella plant, both seem to be very happy. I do need to leave a window open in the summer though to allow for air to circulate (like you would a greenhouse).

No advice for you - just jealous that you have a lovely sunny conservatory. We would too, except our next door neighbours got there first and blocked out all the light to the back wall of our house. The only place we could put it.

I too have an umbrella plant that copes very well in my hot conservatory.

Try out Bouganvillia - they are brilliant in that heat - Wilkinson's sell them at the moment for £3.99 a piece.
