Halifax save4it and childrens reg saver

My GF set up a Halifax save4it acccount for our daughter today, and put in a lump sum of £600. She also set up a childrens regular saver as we save £10 a week for her. I told her to set up a regular saver for £100 PM as then we could drip feed the save4it money (5.5%) to the reg saver(10%) as I read in martins article. But the banker told her the money would be better off left in the save4it and just set up a standing order for £40 PM for the reg saver. As the Save4it will get more interest on the lump sum thats in there. I though drip feeding the money in would have been better? any thoughts?

you can not transfer money from the save4it to the regualr saver as its not possible to have standing orders on that account, and the regular saver must be paid by standing order0
