Thanks Rovver... awww a wire rack but what about the wire digging into their poor tootsies while they wee & poo! :(

:) Sausage has entertained me (and himself) this morning playing with a giant cardboard box. Jumping on then in it. Happy as larry (I assume).
Photos just to show off really. :)

He is beautiful! I think the wire idea is fine as long as its a thick wire like those cooling racks & it's padded out with the litter. We haven't bothered, we just add a very small amount of litter & change the tray daily so she doesn't have much to dig at if you see what I mean!

Ours all have multiple cardboard boxes in their 'runs' (room is divided in two for each pair) & they love digging in those, burrowing, chewing new exit holes etc. Makes one hell of a mess but keeps them reasonably entertained!

In reply to him kicking the litter out of the hole....

Why not place the litter at the very front of the tray and not so much at the back. It's unlikely he will kick and burrow plastic. If he turns around he's then kicking it into the cover!

    Will try that. :)
  • I use ones like this: www. zooplus .co.uk/shop/cats/cat_litter_litter_boxes/litter_tray_cat_toilet/296647

which seems to have stopped mine from digging it everywhere!

    What litter do you use?
