i was looking at my spreadsheet over the period and i added up all the spare change i had. (This usually goes into a jar and then stuck in the bank at some point!)

i didn't add this into my total, but it adds up to £583.24!!!! (Not including £2 coins) this would have made my total £3924.02!?!?!?! mind blowing!!!!!!

in the next challenge i'm going to include any spare change (but not £2 coins as they're in another challenge)

    Well done:

    that's great :j

and here I am getting excited I found 1p on Saturday, 5p yesterday at work and OH kicked something in the carpark last night and I had to check what it was - 20p . All in the piggy bank now which will be opened on 5th July (I won't be at home on 7th July so I'll have to finish 2 days early).

For the next challenge I really recommend opening a seperate account for the money and putting everything you get in there and then either saving it up (for Christmas etc) or paying off a debt. If it all goes into that account though it's easier to keep track of what you've earned and what you've used it for.

    Hi Bonar,

Welcome to MSE and the olympic challenge. Of course you can join the new challenge - Gemmzie is going to put a thread up all about it on Friday.

I don't think anyone made a spreadsheet for everyone to use. What I've done is I have 1 worksheet where I have 5 columns: date, what it is (e.g. mystery shopping, amazon, ebay etc.) how much, weekly running total and overall running total. Then the next sheet has a week by week break down of how much I need to make each week and how close I've got and how much I need overall by that week and how close I am to that. Then I have a little chart which at the end of each week I update how much I've earnt from each area (e.g. Amazon, ebay etc) overall and also will have a list of what I've spent the money on.

Probably sounds complicated but it works for me and I'm sure other people do things differently. I think a list of what you've made where with a running total and a list of what you've used the money for is all you'd need to keep track of it.

Going off to hide somewhere now after admitting to being that a**l with it. :o
