Hi - just trying to sort out the best way to get the cheapest landline and broadband for a house that needs a new landline connection. The house has a BT connection box but its not live and have been advised that it needs a £130 connection fee if I go with a 12 month contract with BT.The contract needs to be 12 months or shorter since this is a short term move.
I would welcome views on what I think is the best deal for a 12month contract at present.
The best package I can see is Talktalk essentials through quidco - this is a 12 month contract - it would give new free new connection by way of £50 credit to my bill - 12 months land rental with free evening and w/e calls for £9.50pcm (paying 12 months up front) - 12 months unltd broadband for £3.25pcm - and £40 cashback from quidco. So the maths works out :-
Cost per month £9.50 + £3.25 - £3.33 (£40/12 Quidco) = £9.42
This seems to be the cheapest way to get new line rental and broadband, any thoughts?

Since broadband is exchange specific, do an exchange search on www.samknows.com for your LLU options.
The reconnection charge is usually discounted down to about £50 with companies like Plusnet or Sky.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
