lock up garage rental

hi all,
i am looking at renting a lock up garage to repair my car and have few questions
my car is a saloon car and the garage i have in mind is around 5.1 by 2.2 or somthing like this. i guess that is enough space to carry out repair. has any one done this before to share their experience?
in regard to security , it has a standard garage lock and hasp and staple . are they easy to break in ? ( i mean the standard garage lock ) sorry if this seems like a silly question but really need suggestions as this is an investment for me and don't want my car to get nicked !
for electricity i am thinking of buying the portable petrol generators from ebay which are around £100 and give you 4 hours on one tank.
the guy is asking for £60 pcm, is that reasonable in north london ?how much one of these garages cost to buy (average)
any thing else or suggestions that u have please share it
