NPower - Have not transferred Gas 6 months later

  • Just an update to all on my transfer.

    Well, there is no update.

The complaint is still in the "complaints" department, which as far as I can tell is there to give an 8 week buffer before you can move on to the ombudsman.

With energy prices now rising, I am seriously getting worried. I'm so far around £300 down.

Is there anyway to expose the NPower shambles? Warning to all, do not switch to Npower. Ever.
  • Wow, I wish I'd have researched these "Cowboys" that trade as NPower before wasting four months waiting to transfer as a duel fuel customer for their "In Control" duel fuel account with Free Nest system. Hassle free, they were absolutely spot on with that, all the hassle they have caused me hasn't cost me a penny. My electricity transferred as promised in feburary however my Gas is "stuck in registration" and is with the "specialist team" that no one is able to speak to. I just want to be a duel fuel customer and pay NPOWER for the privilege. Now my new born daughter is here we are having to leave our heating on instead of remotely controlling it as the account should allow. Instead i am paying an increased amount for my gas with my previous supplier due to the loss of the duel fuel account. NPOWERS response is "sorry" you'll have to pay your current supplier the new higher rate, because of your errors or issues? I have spoken to NPOWER countless times chasing the gas account and am no closer to a resolution. Complaint pending with NPOWER and ombudsman. I will endeavour to be heard by every potential NPOWER customer and save them the stress hassle and time loss by advising them not to bother and take your business to another company that wants your custom and will do anything to make that happen.

I have the opposite problem I am trying to leave NPower and go to COOPEnergy.

Electricity transferred without issue my Gas hasn't shifted over yet and it been 2/3 months now and I have no idea what going on.

Was about to try phone both of them but they ain't open on a sunday it appears. First day I have had free as my daughter got chicken pox and my next son/daughter is due to arrive hopefully in this coming week
Thought I could chase this up and get some answer to why I am stuck between two suppliers for my gas and electricity. I user the Money Saving Expert Energy Group which states that I am trying to move both to the COOP.
