Mealplan W/B 15th April

Hi everyone

Mealplan mostly stuck to this week apart from one night where we had fishfingers, chips and beans as both felt a bit off. Seem to be coming in under budget on grocery shopping again which is good as had a few weeks where it was just over. Have struggled for inspiration for this weeks plan but here goes.

Saturday - Nandos marinated chicken with rice and salad (carried over from last week)

Sunday - Roast Gammon, potatoes, veg and y.puddings

Monday - Beef Chowmein

Tuesday - Spag Bol with do gnochhi for DD

Wednesday - Chicken in a pepper sauce with sweet potato topping

Thursday - Jambalaya (proved very popular last week so making a repeat appearance)

Friday - Fish Fingers, chips and beans

Breakfasts will be toast, cereal, cereal bars, fruit

Lunches will be wraps, sandwiches, pasta salad, left overs

Looking forward to seeing everyones meal plans as always sound so good.

Last week's plan got largely abandoned after a recurrence of an ongoing health problem; I've got an emergency consultant appointment on Monday so this week's might end up going the same way, but I can at least start off with good intentions!

Friday - pizza and garlic dough balls
Saturday - sausage and baked bean casserole
Sunday - pot roasted chilli beef with wraps and HM guacamole

    Monday - jambalaya
Tuesday - chilli cheese and salsify omelette with potato rostis
Wednesday - chicken and bacon supreme with rice and cabbage
Thursday - ham and cheese ravioli in tomato sauce
Back after a very long break!

People keep saying they change their meal plan or don't keep to it, but I have the opposite problem. I struggle NOT to do the plan! If something unexpected happens, like one of us is out, or we're in when we had been going out, I sometimes have to sit down and really think hard how to reorganise it. Is that a bit sad? :o

    Anyhoo:

Mon - fish pie & veg
Tue - chicken in Country French sauce jar, with rice and broccoli
Wed - corned beef hash and potato
Thu - bacon & tomato pasta
Fri - 3-bean chilli and garlic bread
    Sat - curryyyy!

Going to feel lost without my meal plan next week! Scheduled surgery after 5 months of being declared unfit so I'm ready to rock and roll. Defrosted and cleared the freezer last week and started all over. Got all my fruit for smoothies stocked up and batch cooked my meals this week as no-one else is allowed to cook in my kitchen!!!! HM lentil, carrot and chilli soup and lemon poppy seed cake stocked in freezer too.

Lazy Pizza, will let OH chop some potato (just about..) to make some wedges and salad
    HM Chicken Curry and Samosa
    HM Spaghetti Bolognese & Salad
HM Lamb Stew & Rice/Baked Potato

Will see where the rest of the week takes me. Hopefully be cooking again after day 4, hard to keep me out of the kitchen..

    First go at a menu

Friday, Meatballs in home made passata
Saturday pasta and cauliflower cheese bake possibly with bacon if it looks OK
Sunday Roast Gammon with cauliflower cheese, mash, carrots and cabbage
    Monday cold gammon and chips
    Tuesday Gammon and leek pie
Wednesday savoury crumble using bits of gammon and left over veg, with breadcrumbs that need using up.
Thursday omlettes with leftovers as fillings or a leftover type meal.
Friday (start all over again with something else)

As far as I can tell I have all the ingredients for these meals.

I cheat on this one and use the Nandos marinade you can buy in the supermarket, I do add a few extra herbs to it and some lemon juice plus for OH a bit of extra chilli

    Weds 17 [STRIKE]Lentil Bolognese [/STRIKE]

Thurs 18 Jamie Oliver's Asian fish, asparagus and couscous ??
This turned into [STRIKE]Teriyaki fish[/STRIKE] ( not JO) with [STRIKE]beansprouts[/STRIKE] and some forlorn looking [STRIKE]cabbage[/STRIKE] and [STRIKE]carrots[/STRIKE]

Fri 19 [STRIKE]Meatza[/STRIKE] (mince or Quorn mince) ( another meal that keeps being postponed)
