Class 2 NI can be avoided, like you say with an exception certificate - these are pretty easy to get hold of (follow the instructions on the start of this thread)....

And they're exclusive of any profit calculations - they're a private expense so you can't reduce your taxable profit by it sadly....

I've yet to meet a MS who HAS to pay class 2 NI though! (although I know they exist somewhere on this site!)

Here I go again on my own....
  • help me please, I am brand new to this site and have been reading about mystery shopping, I am regsitered as disabled and am wheelchair bound, are any of these companies giving out specified tasks to disabled to check facilities, if not, can anyone help pointing me in the right direction as this is an area I would be interested in checking out for the benefit of people like myself, so as to improve what we have and congratulate those who are helping.
    Thank You

If I were you I would a) just register in the normal way. The majority of shops I MS have disabled facilities, as of course they are required to by law. I often raise disability issues as my husband is disabled (not in a chair, but should be according to his hospital!

    b) I would also contact the DRC, say you are an experienced MS, and ask if they have any work! (I have no idea whether they MS, but clearly they should).

    Good luck with this!

PS Welcome to the site :)

There are companies who do look for disabled shoppers, but I can't remember who - sorry! One company was looking for people in wheelchairs to mystery shop cinemas. Hopefully someone else will have a better memory that me, and point you in the right direction.

I recently went shopping with my newborn in a pushchair, and was dismayed in one shop as I couldn't browse the clothing as the stands were too close to get the pushchair through. In another shop, the ladies wear was on a lower ground floor with no lift or escalator. I didn't want to carry the pushchair down the stairs, so I walked out. I think they should have more pushchair and wheelchair shoppers to point these things out and make things more accessable to people.

This happened to me in debenhams...lower ground floor with a few stairs down to it...no ramp. Staff weren't allowed to carry the pram down due to H+S. I wrote to Debenhams, but they didn't feel there was an issue as i could access the lower ground if I walked back to the main entrance out of the shop and around to the door that accessed the lower ground.

    Stupid.

Hi, can anyone tell me what has happened to the dark pink backgrounds for clicking through on Pigsback. I am probably missing something very obvious but I can't see what to do now.
    THANKS

I think you have the wrong thread ;) (possibly)

I know pigsback has changed it's site recently and they're not as obvious but I know they're still there though... Other than that I can't help you as I got bored of it when they took away all the piggypoint earning methods!
